Black Friday Deals for Photographers

November 22, 2025

Black Friday seems to arrive earlier and earlier each year. This date used to signify the point on the calendar when retail stores reached the positive mark on their income statement, crossing the threshold into making a profit for the year.

But there is now Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday and Black Friday Week. And that means lots of deals and discounts for you.

I have perused Amazon and other websites to see what is available and what may become available based on previous years. And I will update this information over the next ten days if new offers become available.

Topaz Labs

TopazLabsSale2025TopazLabsSale2025 I'll start with one of my favorite pieces of software – Topaz Labs.

I have used the Topaz suite of products for years. Just this week I was blown away by the power of Gigapixel to enlarge a file for a client. And they now have software for video as well.

Topaz Labs is offering a 43% Black Friday discount when you purchase a one year license for Topaz Studio, which includes eight products. Don't need all eight? Individual software products are 15% off. Visit Topaz Labs for more details.

Amazon

Amazon's Black Friday Week started this past Thursday and goes through Cyber Monday, Dec. 1.

The first deal I saw that I wish I had when I bought this item is the Ororo heated vest. Currently 33% off for Black Friday Week, this vest is a must-have if you do any photography in the cold or if the cold quickly bothers you. With one battery in the back of the vest, it can keep you warm most of the day when left on a low heat level. It provides the perfect steady warmth to stay out in the field longer, such as for that polar bear tour in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada that I just returned from leading. Black and gray are the best deals at $99.99 but the vest also comes in purple, heather oat, blush heather and navy for $119.99.

Need something more than a vest? Ororo also makes a zipped fleece jacket (available in four colors), on sale for $119.99, a heated jacket for $111.99, and heated pants for  $119.99. And don't forget to add an extra rechargeable battery for Ororo products to ensure you stay warm all day.

Another item I just recently picked up for my trip into the subarctic was a 20 ounce Yeti travel mug. You shouldn't go into the cold without a hot mug of cocoa, coffee or tea, and the Yeti tumbler was a perfect choice for ease-of-use in the car. And having something that is reusable means less waste in our landfills.

Usually $35 on Amazon, the peach tumbler is now 30% off for a discount of almost $10. Or maybe you would like to give a particular color (the forest camo is good for us wildlife photographers) to someone on your list. YetiTraveler20ozTumberYetiTraveler20ozTumber

Black Friday sales are an excellent time to purchase the usual things photographers need – external hard drives, backup drives, SSD drives, memory cards and extra batteries. Although my favorite external hard drive right now – the SanDisk SSD 4TB drive – for its slim design and sans moving parts is not on sale for Black Friday, another drive I have used over the years is. The Lacie Rugged 4TB is on sale for $129.99.

There are many options for your memory cards in your camera. XQD slots and SD cards are the most common but even within those categories, there are a variety of choices. If you capture any video, you need a larger size card (which I don't always recommend for photographs because of the preview load time and the potential for losing a large volume of images at one time) and a fast read/write speed. The Lexar 512GB cCFExpress Type B card is on sale on Amazon for $110.49, a 15% discount from the regular price. There is also the Lexar 128GB CFExpress Type B card for $59.49, a savings of $25.50, and a perfect card for photographers.

PeakDesignSlidePeakDesignSlide Two of the most common camera straps I see in the field are the Peak Design Slide and Slide Lite. The strap comes in several colors and two widths. Both are on sale for Amazon Black Friday Week.

Adobe

Anyone out there just getting into photography and need to sign up for Adobe Creative Cloud or have you been using another editing software and would like to start using Adobe products? Then now is the time to take advantage of the Black Friday 50% off sale of Adobe Creative Cloud. This package contains all 20 apps for creatives but it expires on Nov. 28 so act quick.

Creative Live

And remember that Creative Live goes dark at the end of 2025. If you haven't already, you should download any courses you have paid for. And take a look at the other videos that might be of interest. Just watch the age of the videos; some are getting a little long in the tooth.

Some links in this post may take you to affiliate partners. Although I may make a small commission off any purchase, all of these products are items I use and there is no additional cost to you.
